Citadis tramway to commence service in Rabat

On 18 May 2011, Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, inaugurated the new Citadis passenger service between Rabat and Salé, the first urban area in Morocco to operate a state-of-the-art tramway network.

Alstom's Citadis tramway begins service in Algiers

Alstom to supply equipement for Mexico metro

The metro network of Mexico City is one of the largest in the world, with 4.5 million daily trips. It has 11 lines covering over 200 km of rail. Line 12 will be 24 km in length, serve 22 stations and link the districts of Tlahuac and Mixcoac, in the southern area of the city.

The Mare Island site enters into service

A new Alstom site dedicated to rail services (maintenance, modernisation and the distribution of spare parts) opened in December 2009 at Mare Island in California, as Alstom develops its know-how in the service field in North America.

Automatic train control system to Santiago

The Chilean operator Metro de Santiago has awarded Alstom Transport a contract to supply automatic train control system for Santiago metro's line 1 (27 stations, 20 km).
