$15 Million for Track from Milwaukee to Chicago

Work on the more than 75-mile stretch of railroad track began April 23 and is scheduled to be completed by mid December.

The project includes removing and installing 111,200 ties, spreading 41,500 tons of rock ballast to reinforce the roadbed and replacing 94 grade crossing surfaces.
